Gold Flotation Production Line

Process description : Flotation is a common mineral processing method in gold concentrator to treat rock gold ores. It is often used to treat gold-bearing sulfide minerals with high flotability.Flotation process can enrich gold in sulfide minerals to a greater extent, tailings can be discarded directly, and the cost of beneficiation is low. 80% of rock gold ores in China adopt this process for separation.

Applications : The flotation process of gold ore is suitable for the treatment of gold-bearing quartz vein ores with fine gold particles and high flotability, as well as polymetallic gold-bearing sulfide ores and carbon-bearing (graphite) ores.

Process Introduction

Flotation process of gold ore

The flotation of gold minerals generally adopts a one-stage grinding-flotation process, and the stage grinding-flotation process can be used for the ore with uneven grain size in Kanbu. In China, one stage flotation-flotation process is widely used to enrich useful minerals.

Grinding Fineness Requirements for Gold Ores

The flotation principle of gold ore is: flotation of minerals with large density and coarse particle size, often using relatively dense pulp; on the contrary, when flotation of small density, fine particle size and slime, using thinner pulp and roughly selecting thicker pulp can ensure a higher recovery rate. Concentration selection of thinner concentration is conducive to improving the quality of concentrate.

Other process conditions

In addition to grinding fineness, the technological conditions affecting gold flotation include pulp concentration, flotation reagent dosage, aeration volume, flotation time and so on.

In general, the flotation reagents used in gold ore flotation are collector, activator, foaming agent, etc. The collector is used to promote gold flotation, the activator is to increase the flotation speed of gold ore, and the foaming agent is to increase the numbera of flotation bubbles.

Production Example

Taking a gold mine in Yunnan as an example, the size of the concentrator is 300 t/d. The main mineral in the ore is pyrite. The size of gold is fine and closely related to metal sulfide minerals. The flotation process of this ore is one roughing, two concentrating and two scavenging. However, because the surface of As-Sb minerals is easily oxidized, a large number of flotation reagents are adsorbed, and the flotation effect is poor, the flotation plant entrusted Xinhai to reform the flotation process. In view of the existing problems in the original production and in combination with actual production, Xinhai carried out technological transformation of the technological process. The cyclone tail throwing of the original gold flotation equipment was replaced by stage grinding and flotation tail throwing, which made the process unimpeded and easy to operate. In addition, the number of equipment and flotation reagent system of some processes were improved. Finally, the flotation reagent system was improved. The indicators obtained are excellent. The specific indicators before and after the transformation are as follows:
