At present, the treatment methods for purifying quartz sand at home and abroad mainly include water washing, fractional desilting, scrubbing, magnetic separation, flotation, acid leaching, and microbial leaching.

But in many cases, due to the amount and type of impurities contained in quartz sand, a single method may not achieve the purpose of purification, so we provide you with six combinations.

1. Grinding classification + magnetic separation

The ore is crushed to -30mm. After grinding and grading, the particle size is controlled to -0.71mm. The magnetic separator is used for secondary magnetic separation. The hydraulic grading is carried out by hydrocyclone, and finally the quartz sand concentrate and tailings are obtained.

2. Grinding classification + magnetic separation + flotation 

After the ore is crushed, ground and classified, a magnetic separation is carried out to remove the iron impurities and then enter the flotation machine for flotation, and finally remove other impurities to obtain quartz sand concentrate.

3. roasting water quenching + magnetic separation + pickling + flotation

After the ore is crushed, sieved and classified by roasting, water quenching and manual sorting, the quartz sand concentrate is obtained by flotation after magnetic separation and pickling for one week.

4. scrub grade + grinding grade + magnetic selection + reverse flotation

5. roasting water quenching + magnetic separation + flotation + pickling

6. superfine crushing + classification + flotation + microwave pickling

The selection of these six quartz sand purification methods is also determined by the SIO2 grade of the ore and the type and grade of impurities.
