Process description : Gravity separation is one of the commonly used methods of gold ore beneficiation. It uses different proportions of materials and different sedimentation speeds in the medium to carry out layer separation. Generally, in placer gold mines, gold mostly exists in the form of single natural gold, which has a large difference in density with gangue. The use of gravity separation of gold has a good effect and high economic benefits.
Applications : There are many reselection methods, such as jig reselection, shaker reselection, chute reselection, spiral reselection, centrifugal reselection and wind reselection. In gold ore beneficiation, the commonly used methods of gravity separation are jigging, shaking table and chute.
1. Jig selection gold
The main equipment for jigging gold selection is a jigging machine. The jigging process is to mix mineral particles with different specific gravities, and layer them according to specific gravity in a vertically moving variable-speed medium flow. The minerals with small specific gravity are located in the upper layer, and the minerals with high specific gravity are located in the upper layer. It is located in the lower layer, and uses the action of machinery and water to discharge the layered materials separately.
Jig gold beneficiation is suitable for the separation of coarse mineral particles (mineral raw materials of any particle size except fine materials). The beneficiation size of metal minerals ranges from 50mm to 0.074mm. Under the premise of body dissociation, the lower limit particle size can reach 0.04mm, the process operation is simple, the equipment processing capacity is large, and the application effect is very good in the rough gold mine.
2. Shaker to choose gold
The main equipment for gold selection in the shaker is the shaker. It is a device for sorting in a horizontal medium flow. It uses a transmission mechanism to drive the bed surface to make longitudinal reciprocating motion, do rush flow and bed surface differential motion, and the mineral particles are reciprocating During the movement, it undergoes stratification perpendicular to the bed surface and separation effect parallel to the bed surface, so that materials of different particle sizes are discharged from different sections of the bed surface to realize sorting.
Shaking table gold selection is suitable for processing minerals with finer particle size. According to the different particle sizes of the ore, it can be divided into three types: coarse sand bed, fine sand bed and ore mud bed. The coarse sand bed is suitable for the separation of materials with a particle size of 2.0 The fine sand bed is suitable for processing ore particles with a particle size range of 0.5-0.074mm, and the sludge bed is suitable for processing ore particles with a material size of 0.074-0.037mm.
The feeding particle size range of shaking table gold is generally between 3mm-0.019mm. The gold beneficiation is stable and reliable, and the distribution of the ore belt is clearly visible. The rich ore is higher than other beneficiation methods, easy to manage, and the required ore can be separated at one time.
3. chute gold selection
The main equipment for gold selection in the chute is the spiral chute, which uses inclined water flow for separation. The material uses the combined force of water flow, mineral gravity, and friction between the mineral particles and the bottom of the tank to make the mineral particles settle in the tank according to the specific gravity. In different areas within the area, the ore particles with a small specific gravity are taken away by the water flow, leaving behind the ore particles with a large specific gravity, and the separation is completed.
The spiral chute is suitable for processing fine-grained materials with low mud content, with a particle size range of 0.6-0.03mm, simple structure, large processing capacity and low overall cost.
The above three methods of gold separation by gravity separation are only used for gold ore with monomer dissociation (place gold ore). For vein gold minerals, gravity separation process is rarely used alone. Generally, it will be combined with other processes to form a combined process, such as a heavy-float combined gold extraction process, which is re-selected to assist in gold extraction. In the grinding and grading circuit, a jig, spiral chute and shaker are used to recover the easily dissociated Coarse particles of gold can create better separation conditions for subsequent flotation and cyanidation processes, which can effectively improve the gold mine index and the total gold recovery rate.
